Print from Activepieces, without a local computer
Activepieces is the self-hostable, open-source alternative to automation platforms. This thermal printer adds paper output, controlled via API, without relying on a third-party printing service.
How it works
Add an HTTP step at the end of your flow, using the POST method to the Expedy API and your key in the header. The JSON body contains the ticket content.
Connect the printer, scan the QR code displayed on its screen, and it will be linked to your Expedy account. No driver or computer needs to be left on. View the installation details — API reference.

Frequently asked questions
My instance is self-hosted. Is it compatible?
Yes, as long as it can make outgoing HTTPS requests. No incoming connection is required.
Can I print QR codes and barcodes?
Yes, as well as formatted text, images, and PDFs, using the API tags.
Does the printer need to stay on my network?
No. It connects to the Expedy cloud via 4G or Ethernet and continues to work even if your router goes down.
