This customized Raspbian system image turns a Raspberry Pi into a connected printing gateway. You can connect up to 4 USB printers and control them remotely through the ExpedyPRINT REST API. It is the most flexible solution for automating printing on existing hardware, with minimal hardware costs.

• Remotely monitor the Raspberry Pi and its printers: ping, job history, USB detection, Wi-Fi configuration

Installation

1. You flash the image onto an SD card, or insert the preinstalled SD card.
2. You start the Raspberry Pi and connect it to your network.
3. You activate the Cloud API service and start a USB scan from the console.
4. You select the printing mode for each detected printer.

Compatible printers

• Compatible with all brands: USB receipt printers with ESC/POS commands (Epson, Star Micronics, Citizen, Munbyn)
• Compatible with all brands: A4 USB direct thermal printers with ESC/POS commands
• Linux ARM driver required: shipping label printers (Zebra, Brother, Datamax O'Neil, BeePRT, Netum, Intermec, Vevor). The ZPL format is supported on some models, allowing you to generate labels without using a PDF.
• Linux ARM driver required: office inkjet and laser printers, A4 and A3 (see the list of Linux ARM-compatible models)
• Linux ARM driver required: photo printers (DNP, Canon)
• Compatible: Expedy receipt printers

Which Raspberry Pi models are supported?
Zero, 4, and 5. Pre-installed SD cards are available for each of these models.

One subscription per printer or per Raspberry Pi?
Per Raspberry Pi. Up to 4 USB printers are covered by the same subscription.

Can I reuse the image on multiple machines?
Yes, the image can be reused without limit. Only the Cloud API subscription is linked to each machine.

Is the Raspberry Pi included?
